November 2025 Recap - Part 2
Hello there, December.
Scrolling further down the camera roll, it’s wild how one month can hold so much joy, frustration, makan sessions, and a pinch of existential crisis.
Here we go — the rest of the story.
15/11: My company decided a walkathon was a good idea. 5 km. Yes, it was mandatory. As staff yang efficient, I'd rather just tick the box, but you know what? It ended up being fun. The company-mandated togetherness actually worked.
16/11: I bought a new ceiling fan for the living room. The old one only lasted 3 years, which, frankly, is a pathetic lifespan for a core household utility. This isn't just a comfort issue; it's an efficiency problem.
The reward? Not the exercise, but the simple joy of sharing an apple strudel and cream horns afterward. A little moment of sweet, unexpected bliss.
As a thank-you for my favorite human being my “driver” of the day, I treated him to the newest spot in Toppen: KOGU Malaysia. It’s the kind of place that knows the secret to a happy customer: abundance. We had the Japanese A5 Wagyu Hamburger Steak Set. Superb. But the real secret sauce? Free-flow rice, vegetable, and miso soup. I went back for two extra rounds of rice and soup. Don't judge eh.
Kesayangan added truffle sauce and cheesy mozzarella to his two patties. Me? I prefer my meat plain, pure, and juicy. We ate until we were absolutely stuffed. The rest of the day was a blur of groceries (Jaya Grocer), kid pickup, and a glorious, deep sleep.
A good day.
16/11: I bought a new ceiling fan for the living room. The old one only lasted 3 years, which, frankly, is a pathetic lifespan for a core household utility. This isn't just a comfort issue; it's an efficiency problem.
Why is the living room so hot, even with a stand fan? The root cause: The open-layout kitchen’s glass door/window gets direct sunlight because it lacks curtains or tinting. The heat just bakes the whole living, dining, and kitchen space.
The Solution Stack (Awaiting Budget Approval):
- Install a simple sunshade at the back. (Minimal budget, maximum impact).
- Add a curtain to act as a divider between the kitchen and the living space to physically block heat transfer.
Awning? Not yet (wallet said no). So maybe sunshade + curtain divider to block the heat for now.
DIY interior hack coming soon… maybe. ๐
17/11: A quiet Monday of Oriental Egg Tarts, crispy popia, and a boat ride at the Marina. Nothing fancy. But memories? Worth it.
19/11: It was a day of celebration! All four of my kiddos were at the Majlis Pengiktirafan Pemimpin Muda. Fateh snagged 1st in Hero Sifir and a perfect 100% in his Math exam (and PT6!) Iman received the Anugerah Pemimpin Muda Terbaik Keseluruhan on top of other.
My heart swelled with pride, even though I couldn’t be there. But, as often happens in life, a beautiful moment was instantly tainted by UNECCESSARY FRICTION.
But let's share this drama in another entry, shall we?
