Week Number: 39/52

Ah, Monday. The word itself just feels heavy, right? Hmm~ bilalah nak balik ni. I swear the clock is in slow motion today. Then a IG memory popped up on my phone, and suddenly I was scrolling through old photos and remembering all the crazy, wonderful things we used to do. It was such a feel-good moment.

Close-up photo of a young boy, Emir Yusuf, with his eyes closed, looking frustrated. Text overlay reads: "sorry not play school, no prep class, guess you stuck with me for another 2-3 years."
It made me realize something: lately, I've been holding back on sharing—not because I don't want to, but because life is just so full. But seeing those forgotten snapshots reminded me that sharing is about creating a personal archive, a memory bank for me. It's a way to truly appreciate those fleeting moments that we sometimes let slip through the cracks, right?

Four young boys, still in their school sports attire and wearing running medals, enjoy ice cream and bubble tea treats at a Mixue dessert shop after a merentas desa race.

So, last weekend my boys had their 4-kilometer merentas desa at their school, and I was so proud. Yusuf got 1st place, and Fateh got 5th. Even though Adam and Iman didn't win anything ๐Ÿ…, they all finished that long run, and that's a huge victory for me.

I do joined the parent race and of courselah, we both win. Bekas atlet kot! ๐Ÿ˜ But wow, my body is paying for it now. My old back pain and super-sore thighs are still bothering me. So jadinya, since I’m too tired to cook this week, we're relying on Food Panda and Grab.

The one cooking exception was when Ayah came over and dropped off a huge load of bananas semalam. Before he left, I quickly made cekodok pisang. He told me the ripe yellow ones are best for eating fresh, but the two green bunches will be perfect for frying later.

Malaysian homemade snack: Fresh bananas and the process of deep-frying cengkodok pisang fritters in a pan.

Thank you Atok! ๐Ÿฅฐ
