Last Sunday of 2025 🎉

Dah pesan siap-siap dekat anak-anak: Azam tahun baru Ibu nak masak sendiri 🍳 kat rumah sebanyak mungkin. Tak mahu dah asyik beli luar. Sebabnya dua; pertama, nak berjimat. Kedua, paling penting, nak jaga kesihatan.

Last week was a bit of up and down. We had a nice half-day before Christmas and esoknya we spent some time at Rumah Kebun Atok 🌳🏡. Dah lama tak balik kampung kan? Budak-budak ni pun apa lagi, memang nak stay sana terus untuk cuti sekolah. Jadi, petang tu tinggal lah Adam, Iman, dan Yusuf dekat kampung. Fateh and I saja yang balik rumah. 🚗💨

Hari Jumaat kerja macam biasa, petang we went to Sushi King for dinner. Saturday was a total "stay at home" day because my perut felt terrible. Gastritis hit me hard. I thought I was healed, but that Tomyam Spaghetti and jeruk kedondong on Friday proved me wrong eh. Lesson learned (the hard way): With work stress and school prep coming up, I need to plan my meals and timing better. I’m definitely not built to suffer. 🥹

Tapi sedap *cry*

Sunday was "Fateh & Ibu" time at Toppen/IKEA. Saje bonding berdua. We had a great time, but I’m still stuck on a decision. I need kitchen storage badly. I’ve been eyeing the KNOPPARD kitchen cabinet because it's so affordable, but those reviews about the wood are not waterproof are holding me back. With my boys, "delicate" furniture isn't the best idea. Tidak meyakinkan sungguh ya tuan-puan.

Instead of buying a new cabinet, I’m thinking of Plan B: Reorganizing what I have. I need more storage boxes to clear the grocery mess on my open shelves.

On my "Must-Find" list:

✔ A high-quality mattress (I need good sleep!).

✔ Minimalist storage for the kids' clothes and books.

✔ A brand-new vacuum!

Atok brought the boys home on Sunday evening. Before they arrived, Fateh and I managed to squeeze in a nap. When the house was full again at 6 PM, we had dinner together and even played Scrabble while Atok watched Netflix. It was the perfect, quiet end to 2025, even though I had a nagging headache and went to bed early.

Monday morning was back to the grind 👩🏻‍💻, but I managed to slip home for lunch to heat up some leftovers and eat with the kids tadi. Yusuf has already placed his "order" for dinner petang ni: Upin Ipin fried chicken 🍗, fried enoki mushrooms, and his favorite Chinese-style tomato eggs. 🍅

It’s been a busy end to the year, but I’m ready to for 2026. InsyaAllah.
