Exam PKSK Adam

My Adam is sitting for the Pentaksiran Kemasukan Sekolah Khusus (PKSK) this Wednesday. It’s the gateway exam for those special schools—MRSM, SBP, SMKA—that everyone talks about.

PKSK Chill Test: Why My Son Has a 6-Month Boarding School 'Exit Contract'

I’m really just hoping he does okay. "Just try," I told him. It’s good exposure, no matter the result.

Betul—

Whether he passes or not, it's okay.

My plan sebenarnya I want all my boys to go into sekolah aliran agama. I believe, we need that strong foundation built first. The "worldly matters"—academics, career, money— will follow. #iykyk

But here’s the thing that keeps me on the fence: sekolah berasrama.

Rasanya dah banyak kali cakap pasal ni. Tapi nak cakap juga.

So, I built a risk mitigation plan right into the school application:
  1. If he gets an offer, he goes. We celebrate the achievement.
  2. We set a clear testing period. Just a good, honest try for six months. Enough time to adapt, but not long enough to break him.
  3. I gave him the ultimate veto power: "If you hate it, or if there's any hint of a bullying situation, just pack your bags and come home."
If asrama life isn’t their fit? Period. Their mental well-being is my number one KPI. That certificate isn’t worth his stress.

Of course I do have other plan B, C, D, E.. for them. We do have multiple choice of kelas aliran agama dekat sekolah luar lagipun, as backup. The options are there.

To all my friends, please send up a prayer for Adam. Pray that he can answer the exam dengan penuh ketenangan.

Good luck to all the kids too! ❤️
