UASA Adam and Iman, PBD Fateh and Yusuf

It’s exam season again. Adam and Iman, just started their UASA (that's the big end-of-year school exam). And even though Fateh and Yusuf don't have a final exam, their PBD still matter. Next year, Adam moves to secondary school, which feels huge. Naturally, my mind is in full-on Mom Worry Mode.

I was busy trying to hunt down old exam papers. And you know what? Everything costs money eh. Even the PDF practice sets sold online on places like Shopee or TikTok. I remembered when teachers gave us everything for free back in my UPSR days. Back then, my teachers were such a savior eh. They’d practically bury us in free past papers and practice sheets; every single day.

I had a moment of feeling a little sad about the change (which include other reason too), but then I stopped myself. These are my kids. Why should I put all that pressure on their already busy teachers? We have to do our part, too. Right?

Then suddenly I tepuk dahi, and realized:

Pandai app practice interface showing options for Bahasa Inggeris, Matematik, and other UASA exam subjects.

I’d already subscribed to the Pandai app!

I'd paid for the account, but it wasn't until this weekend that I truly weaponized it. Like, really weaponized it.

I gathered all four of my boys and told them, "Okay. This weekend, we’re going on a Quiz and Test Marathon!" I made them run through all the sample exams, quizzes, and practice tests they could handle on the app.

No more running to the bookstore or paying for expensive downloaded papers. It was all right there, in our pocket.

I feel better now. It’s not about getting a perfect score; it’s about effort. We’ve done our best, and that’s what matters most. Now, time for me to go make sure there's enough food in the fridge to fuel these study machines ;)

Pray for us! πŸ₯°
